Today is January 28, 2010. Exactly eight months since Stroke Tom. I’ve put off writing this blog long enough. I’ve got to start it, today. I probably won’t finish today because we’ve got Quantum Masters tonight and I need some rest some before show time.
My Magic Elixir is still keeping me full of energy, no more Always Tired Tom. In fact, it’s getting ridicules. I’m at the computer eight – ten hours some days. I get tired by evening, sure, but I’ve never had this much energy. Even in my twenties…well, I could stay up a lot longer, but that’s another story, completely.
I sure wish I’d have known about this Magic Elixir a long time ago. Heck, the way it’s lowered my blood pressure and blood sugar numbers I might have avoided Stroke Tom altogether. (Hear the free seminar on Fatigue.)
I have neglected this blog for a good reason. I’m healing and have less interest in telling the Brain Stroke Miracle Healing. Or maybe I didn’t want to think about it for awhile. Yes, it was full of pretty lights, wonderful feelings and Perpetual Hope. But it was a time jam packed with painful physical and emotional events.
Besides, I want to do stuff again. Move ahead.
OK! I still have to walk with a brace and I still have limited use of my right hand, but I look gooood! We made some videos and I was surprised how good I looked. My face droop is all but gone. I look good and the reason is clear.
I am Irish after all…alright, some Dutch thrown in to make me a real, melting pot American.
Still, red hair and green eyes means I’m Irish. That’s my story and I refuse to change! I can be stubborn that way. Wonder where that comes from?
This good looking Irishmon wants to tell you some of the good things happening.
In August I was elated to touch my thumb to my index finger. I did it by the pool while playing a game on my Blackberry. It was a struggle, but I was elated.
In September I was able to keep my fist closed while extending my middle finger. Diane does think that’s much of an accomplishment. Well, I like it because it’s the first step in getting my driver’s license back.
Now, I can sometimes touch my thumb finger to my little finger. Not today it turns out, but sometimes.
In December I was able to unlock the backdoor with my right hand, That was after a few weeks of trying. My miracle working chiropractor, Mark Kennedy, told me about the great results of a study where they bound the strong arm of stroke survivors to make them use it.
So, I make a point embarrassing myself with my right hand every chance I get. It’s paying off.
I’m walking all around the house without a cane. I figured I’d force myself to use that right leg more too. Better balance and strength. Friends tell me I’m walking better and I guess they’re right. Hard for me to tell the changes.
At night my right leg jumps up and down, involuntarily. I wonder if I’m re-processing my childhood. I was forced to listen to way too many Polkas. A thing like that has lasting effects, don’t you know? Has any one done a study? Oh, well…
Gotta go. Get ready for the class. Wanted to tell you about another miracle healing I’ve had but that will have to wait till next time.
Stay Healthy, it means everything,
Tom Pauley
